The UK has an abundance of small birds. Many of the birds that frequent the bird feeders in our gardens may well be familiar to us. However those that we may encounter on a woodland or field walk may be less familiar, and will likely prove more of a challenge to photograph. Below is a collection of birds photographed by either placing a perch close to a feeder or through the use of field craft and waiting patiently.
